Delete your account

Useful Countdown · Be Useful

You can delete your Useful Countdown account and everything stored with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.

In the app

Open Settings, then your account, and choose Delete account. You'll be asked to sign in again first, to make sure it's you. The deletion happens straight away.

By email

If you no longer have the app installed, email tony@drof.co.uk from the address you signed up with and ask for your account to be deleted. We will action it within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What gets deleted

• your account, including your name, email address and password;
• every countdown you created — titles, notes, dates, colours, icons and reminder settings;
• any photos you attached to a countdown;
• your membership of any groups, and any emoji reactions you added;
• groups you created, along with the countdowns shared inside them.

What is kept, and for how long

Nothing is kept for marketing, profiling or analytics — none of that exists in this app. Backups of the database are kept for up to 30 days for disaster recovery, after which your data is gone from those too. If you email us to ask for deletion, we keep that email itself for as long as we need it to show the request was actioned.

Countdowns held only on your own device, from before you had an account, are removed by deleting the app.
